Drawing II Final

Well finals are officially over and here is my drawing II project.  We were given a preset still life, and could not remove any of the objects.  However we could add to it whatever we wanted.  I turned the gourd and brass pot into a house and the fruit bowl into a gondola.  The lemons remained lemons, though rather large lemons compared to the figures.  It was also a mixed media project so this is comprised on ink, watercolor pencil, and colored pencil.  Inspirations were drawn from Venice and Tekkonkinkreet (an animated film) as well as old paintings of sea scapes and harbors.

End of the Semester Sketches

These are a collection of sketches from many different areas.  Some are in LA, Madonna Mountain, Santa Barbara, San Luis and on campus.  They are mainly gestural, and experimentations in a variety of techniques and mediums.  The sketches include people swing dancing, blues dancing, eating in restaurants, and just hanging out in class.
