Life Drawing For Animation Roundup

Below are the drawings I included in my end of the semester portfolio. I learned quite a bit during the process, especially about line of movement and overlaps. It was very gratifying to get some consistency in my work. Before many of my pieces were hit or miss, and there was plenty of that this semester as well :)

Each of these was done in two to five minutes, in conte, graphite, or charcoal stick.

Color Thumbs

My challenge over the break was to do a color thumb each day, ever day, till school started up again. Well I mostly did just that :)  These are a collection of very quick studies, about three by four inches.  It was a great way to keep my mind thinking about color and light. It also afforded me practice with watercolor after a semester of oil painting.
